I see many parallels with the current war on drugs.
Wish @iinet would be more like @aws and keep increasing my service while lowering prices. Stuck on the same plan I had to choose from years ago.

Running Experiment
Today I am experimenting by eating carbs before my run. Let’s see if I get a better result than my last runs at about 10K and +5:15 min / k.
Vic Heritage iPhone app
Check out the free iPhone app Vic Heritage. You can explore the architectural and historical gems of Melbourne and regional Victoria, go on tours, and add your own content. Unearth the hidden histories of the buildings you love. http://www.dpcd.vic.gov.au/heritage
Actually a well done little app.
Back to materialism
The one year long experiment of Not Buying Things (NBT) has come to an end. Did my best to stick to the rules, but to be frank, I had two exceptions:
I just didn’t have enough clothes for work. I lost too much weight before starting NBT (~22kgs) and none of my clothes fit me. So I made a compromise, for every piece of clothing I purchased, I had to give away at least twice that number....
TV
When we got the giant plasma TV, I didn’t think of it as a micro SUN that would put out enough heat to raise the temperature of the entire house.
Back to watching movies on the MacBook Air..
High of 41c today in Melbourne. Just trying to stay cool. Awnings pulled down. Ran early this morning. Hiding in the shade for the rest of the day.

Evernote Hello →
What a neat app from Evernote. I’m already a big fan of Evernote for my own personal use. This app really hits my need, remember people I meet from events. Good job!

Working on some serious resolutions for 2012. Going to be some big changes.
Travel Ban
And so my travel ban has been lifted (and soon the buying things ban). Much travel will now be taken. Starting with New Zealand and the US in January. But possible more travel later!
If I sign up for Qantas Frequent Flyer with my Australian address, I’ll be charge $80. If I used my US address, it’s free. How is that fair?
Nice warm summer day in Melbourne. Going to leave work early and go for a nice run.
